Aqueous gel for cytological specimens embedding: during processing cells are soaked and retained. Extremely useful for processing centrifuged cells and fragile or small sized biopsy specimens. Few Bio-Agar drops are enough to ensure that solvents will penetrate the specimen, without the latter coming out of the gel.
